About the Author

Vince Cardarelli lives and works in Clinton, New Jersey. After retiring from the Catholic Priesthood in 1971, Vince began a career in clinical counseling, working in various settings. His unique contribution has been to combine traditional counseling, The 12 â€"Step Program, and spirituality into a unified approach to mental health. He has a Masters in counseling from Princeton Theological Seminary, and is a New Jersey State Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. Besides his clinical practice, he has written for newspapers, lectured extensively on mental health topics, and taught in colleges and in a family practice residence program for 10 years.

Vince is very well-known in the AA and Alanon communities, and excels in marriage counseling for couples who are in recovery.
