Binding (only) a tad age toned and lightly soiled; endpapers likewise age toned, with small chip at upper corner of final three text leaves -- else internally tight and bright and lovely. Attractive revised second edition of this 1920 study. Oh, the humanity! -- how to design a sensible, self-sufficient home that doesn't require the service of maids and manservants, butlers and footmen. A delightful, well-illustrated period piece.
