Set Your Table: Reclaim Your Life

Now that I've got your attention, let's talk about why most self-help books fail you. They promise transformation through willpower, optimize you like software, then leave you more exhausted than when you started.

Set Your Table sidesteps the tyranny of optimization and the exhausting hustle of constant improvement by asking more profound questions: What are you preparing for? Who are you becoming? And what conditions are you creating?

If you're a professional in survival mode, a leader managing chaos, or someone who knows you're capable of more but can't close the gap to your potential, these questions can change everything.

Retired Army Colonel Brian Cook translates decades of military strategic thinking into a framework that actually works for modern life. The metaphor is deceptively simple yet devastatingly effective: you're either setting conditions for your own success or living in conditions someone else created for you. What makes this remarkable isn't just the credentials or the science. It's Cook's willingness to drop the armor and admit that the very skills that made him excellent in one domain became obstacles in another.

This is your map home to yourself.
