The Setting

THE SETTING
Book One of the L.I.F.E. Series

Everything is normal.

That’s the problem.

Kain King is living a life that should make sense. A devoted father. A husband. A man balancing responsibility, pressure, and purpose in a world that demands everything and gives little back.

From the outside, it’s stable. Structured. Predictable.

But something isn’t right.

It doesn’t announce itself.
It doesn’t break the surface.
It lingers.

A pattern slightly off.
A moment that doesn’t line up.
A detail most people would never question.

Until it starts happening again.

And again.

The deeper Kain pays attention, the more the cracks begin to show. Not in dramatic ways—but in quiet, undeniable shifts that refuse to be explained away. The kind of changes that don’t belong in a normal life.

The kind you can’t ignore once you see them.

And once you see them… everything changes.

The Setting is a grounded, psychological slow-burn that begins in the real world—your world. It doesn’t rush. It builds. It establishes the foundation of something much bigger, pulling you into a story where reality is stable… until it isn’t.

This is where the pattern begins.

This is where awareness starts.

This is where everything is set.
