I AM: Seven Declarations that Transform How you Live

What if two simple words could begin changing the direction of your life?

Every day we say the words “I am.”
I am busy. I am tired. I am not good at this. I am someone people can count on.

What we place after those two words quietly shapes how we see ourselves, how we respond to life, and how others experience us.

In I Am: Seven Declarations That Transform How You Live, JoAnn Hand invites readers on a practical and reflective journey to discover how identity influences everyday choices. Through simple stories and relatable examples, this book explores seven powerful declarations—responsibility, language, listening, accountability, relationships, groundedness, and possibility—that can transform the way we live and interact with others.

This is not a book about titles, positions, or formal leadership. It is about the influence each of us carries in our everyday lives—through conversations, relationships, and the choices we make in ordinary moments.

If you want to live with greater clarity, strengthen your relationships, and become more intentional about the person you are becoming, this book will help you begin.

Because the future we create often begins with two simple words:

I am.
