Two stories run through the novel.Firstly, Tom and Rose Abrams fly to Australia for a much needed holiday.They are only there two days when Tom is accused of murderand is quickly incarcerated in police cells as the principal suspect.If Tom didn’t commit murder, then who did?Secondly, an eight year old boy is kidnapped whilst on a school outing in London.His mother tots up her savings and sells her terrace house to enable herto fly to Australia where it is thought he is being held.Has he been abused or nurtured?Both women ask for help from Rose’s old friend, DCI Phiri Milemba.He flies 12,879 kms. to help the love of his life Rose.

Alexandra Lenz and her husband have lived in various African countries. She has worked for WHO, UNESCO, The British Council and others. Inbetween working they have travelled to over 90 countries. She and her husband live in a lovely part of rural England.
