The Shadow Directive

When former Navy SEAL Matthew Tucker is hired to track down a missing software engineer in Seattle, he expects a quick paycheck and a quiet return to his off-the-grid life. But what begins as a routine recovery mission spirals into a deadly hunt across the Pacific Northwest. The deeper Tucker digs, the more he realizes the man didn’t vanish—he was erased. His investigation uncovers encrypted files, an untraceable hit squad, and a growing body count. Someone is willing to kill to keep a secret buried, and Tucker just made himself their next target.

Haunted by the ghosts of war and disillusioned with the country he once served, Tucker never expected to step back into the shadows. But as pieces of a hidden surveillance program come to light—one that bypasses constitutional oversight—he realizes the truth could dismantle more than reputations; it could fracture the entire government. To stop a silent coup, Tucker must outwit killers, decode a digital conspiracy, and survive a betrayal from within. The directive was supposed to be classified. Now it’s personal.
