The Shadow Prince's Captive: Two Enemies. One forbidden Bond. A Kingdom Built on Lies. (Shadow Crown Trilogy)

She was sent to assassinate the Shadow Prince. She never expected to become the only person who could save him. Lyra Veyne is the Silver Court’s deadliest weapon.

Raised from childhood to obey, deceive, and kill without hesitation, she has spent her entire life believing she exists for one purpose: to eliminate the kingdom’s greatest threats.

Her final mission is impossible.

Kill Prince Kaelan Vareth.

Known throughout the realms as the Shadow Prince, Kaelan is feared as a ruthless ruler who commands forbidden magic and destroys everything in his path. The Silver Court has warned Lyra that he is not a man.

He is a monster.

But when she enters his fortress with a blade meant to end his life, she discovers the truth is far more dangerous than the legends.

Kaelan is not the villain she was promised.

He is a man carrying an ancient darkness that has haunted his bloodline for centuries.
A darkness that is awakening.

Bound by forbidden magic, Lyra and Kaelan are forced into an uneasy alliance as enemies close in, kingdoms prepare for war, and secrets buried for generations begin to rise.

The closer Lyra gets to the Shadow Prince, the harder it becomes to separate the monster she was taught to hate from the man who sacrifices everything to protect his people.

But the Silver Court has not told her the full truth.

She was never sent to kill Kaelan.

She was sent to awaken him.

Now Lyra must choose between the kingdom that created her and the prince she was meant to destroy.
Because if Kaelan loses control of the darkness inside him, the world will burn.

And if Lyra loses him, she may lose the only person who ever saw her as more than a weapon.

The Shadow Prince’s Captive is a dark fantasy romance filled with forbidden magic, enemies-to-lovers tension, hidden bloodlines, political betrayal, and an unforgettable bond between an assassin and the prince she was ordered to kill.
