Humans aren't the only ones who suffer oppression in the capital city. After wiping out the Speki, the cult is now on the cusp of enslaving all other forms of life. Eira, one of the remaining two Speki assassins, has vowed to kill the cult's leader to avenge her people, but she might have to shatter her brother's dreams in the process.

Meanwhile, Khartsaga, the son of the cult leader, desperately strives to earn his father's respect but is shackled by his guilty conscience.

About the Author

R.T. grew up in Delaware, Ohio where cherished moments of reading with her parents were complimented by school book fairs and author visits. In the summer of 2020, she decided to pursue her life-long dream of writing a book. Four years later, her debut novel, Shadow of the Pyre, was completed. R.T. enjoys spending time with her husband and son in northern Indiana. When she's not writing, she can be found playing Pokémon TCG, Skyrim, D&D, or a host of other nerdy activities.
