Shadow Sentry: Collected Edition

Independent superhero comics done in the spirit of the 1990s Image Comics era that built the medium―Eric Ninaltowski's Shadow Sentry: Collected Edition gathers Books 1 & 2 of the main series and the two-part Origins Book 1 into a single 168-page volume, now in print through Rippaverse Publishing's RippaSend imprint.

Shadow Sentry is a supernatural-leaning superhero saga from a creator who has built his career on the visual storytelling DNA of the founders of Image Comics―large-scale action, dynamic page layouts, dramatic visual flair, and the “comics-as-event” sensibility that defined the 1990s. The collected edition gathers Eric Ninaltowski's writing and interior art across Books 1 and 2 of the main series, plus the Origins Book 1 two-part backstory featuring Hopscotch (written by Mark Poulton with breakdowns by Clayton Barton) and Commander Noble (Ninaltowski + Clay Pauley writing).

The print debut of a reader-loved indie series. Colors by Kid Ikaris, Carbon Graphics, and Kevin Anthony De Castro; letters by Eric Weathers. RippaSend brings Shadow Sentry to traditional retail distribution for the first time, and the collected edition is the ideal entry point to the saga.

Eric Ninaltowski is an American comic book writer, illustrator, and self-publisher. He is the writer and artist behind Shadow Sentry, an independent superhero series with supernatural elements built in the spirit of the medium's most influential eras. Working out of his own studio since 2020, Ninaltowski has run a series of successful crowdfunding campaigns for Shadow Sentry and its companion title Shadow Sentry: Origins, alongside a thriving illustration practice featuring the X-Men, WildC.A.T.S, and other characters that defined a generation of American comics. His work draws on the dramatic, large-scale visual storytelling pioneered by the founders of Image Comics in the 1990s.
