Shadowed Paths

This is a collection of nine stories by Ivan Bunin written at different times; he lived from 1870 to 1953. It includes some of his best early works and some written in his last years. It is translated from Russian by Olga Shartse. There is no publishing date but on the last page below the end of the story is the date May 18, 1944. The condition is very good. All 455 pages are free of marks, tears and folds. There are no signatures. The blue cloth cover has a black tree with a crescent moon on front and the title and author in a black box on spine. There is some rubbing on the bottom edges and corners but the cover is clean and the binding is tight. The DJ has some tears along the top and bottom but is clean. It shows the face and upper torso of a woman leaning against something.
