The Carathian Empire was in turmoil-by design.

Amidst the fallout of terrorist attacks and the consequential Imperial State of Emergency, Preceptor Nico Bribane and Preceptor Zachary Hawkins arrived on Carath to investigate the deaths of over thirty fellow Na'dari, an ecumenical order of monk warriors. All the Na'dari deaths were under suspicious and gruesome circumstances, pointing to one cause: the Dark Arts of Sorcery.

Was the sinister source behind the killings a random conjurer? Or was it a dangerous order of Carathian sorcerers, believed extinct, resurfacing from the shadows?

Through their inquiry, the preceptors discovered evidence linking the Na'dari killings to the terrorist attacks--and a wider plot within the Imperial Government to overthrow the empire. Now, Bribane and Hawkins must tread carefully or risk becoming targets themselves.

Shadows of Carath is the first book in an Epic Space Fantasy series in the tradition of Star Wars and Flash Gordon.

S. Donovan Croft, or SD Croft, is a pseudonym for the writer and publisher of the upcoming Science Fiction/Fantasy stories within the "Weapons of Legend Tales" universe. Croft served twelve years in the Army National Guard and is a decorated Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a former Corrections officer who works in Law Enforcement, serving a combined twenty-six years. Croft has been married to the same amazing woman for over twenty-seven years, and they have five wonderful children. He currently resides in South Carolina.
