In the Shadows of Children (Paperback)

Paperback. Fifteen years ago, Aaron's younger brother mysteriously disappeared from his bedroom without a trace, and Aaron hasn't been home since. He thought that he'd moved on with his life. But when his mother suddenly dies, he finds himself back in his childhood hometown to attend the funeral and to see to the estate. Any slim hopes of reliving fond childhood memories evaporate as Aaron discovers something in his old room that shakes not only his beliefs about what happened to his brother, but his grip on reality. In the hungry darkness, a shadow as old as time itself has been waiting for his return. And its wait is nearly over. This novella posits that perhaps it's more than coincidence that one menacing creature can be found in folk tales around the globe. It might just have you sleeping with a nightlight.
