The Shadows Grieve: The Helen Bainbridge Chronicles, Book 2

Rachel Goudas is a hunted woman.

For seven years, with the help of Helen Bainbridge, the noted author and clandestine protector of women in peril, she escaped the ruthless men who were pursuing her and vanished into a life of peaceful anonymity. But now, somehow, they found her and once again she’s on the run, jumping from one small town to the next, desperate and alone.

With no other place to turn, she seeks out 13-year-old Gina McDermott, the granddaughter of Helen Bainbridge, hoping she can help her find the one person who can whisk her away to safety: a myterious transporter, a phantom with no name. The exact day, time and location of his return are cleverly woven into one of Helen Bainbridge’s novels, and with time working against her, and Rachel’s pursuers closing in, Gina enlists the aid of her best friend Nathan Cole and a handful of trusted allies. But will it be enough to save an innocent woman just as Helen Bainbridge did years earlier?

Action, deception, and unforeseen adversaries abound, as well as newfound truths that will forever shape the course of Gina’s life, in The Shadows Grieve, the next installment in The Helen Bainbridge Chronicles.
