About the Author
Dr. Ruth McQuirter Scott is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Brock University in Ontario, Canada, where she teaches language arts to pre-service teachers and graduate courses on writing. Her freelance work has appeared in major newspapers across Canada and on CBC radio. Sharon Siamon is an internationally acclaimed author of over 30 novels for young readers. A former ESL and primary teacher, she has authored many books in language arts programs and co-authored spelling books with Dr. Scott.
