Shattered: A True Story of a Haunting That Wouldn’t Let Go

Shattered
A True Story of a Haunting That Wouldn’t Let Go
by Michael A. Riddell

We thought we were safe. We were wrong.

The girl followed us.

After escaping the horrors of their previous home in Fractured, Michael A. Riddell and his family believed the worst was behind them. But when they moved into a new council house in Kenton, they quickly realized something had followed them. Something intelligent. Something cruel. Something patient.

A ghostly figure — a girl with no eyes, a face of starvation and fury, and a hunger for something deeper than fear — begins to unravel the fragile peace the family clings to. What starts as strange noises and flickering lights soon spirals into flooding taps, electrical fires, and a house that seems to want them gone. Or worse.

This time, it doesn’t just haunt the walls — it targets the children. Danielle’s mental health begins to collapse. Natalie starts recording patterns no one else can see. And Adam, the youngest, begins to walk in his sleep… toward locked cupboards.

Inspired by true events, Shattered continues the chilling account that began in Fractured. While rooted in real experiences, some names, places, and details have been changed to protect those involved. Michael reveals the emotional toll of a haunting that stretches across years, homes, and generations.

Shattered is more than a ghost story — it’s a family’s fight to hold on to each other when something unseen is trying to tear them apart.
