"As a twenty-three-year-old trying to pave my way in the world, it's been an incredible experience partnering with my mom to build a platform to launch my life, and in turn help others do the same. We hope it creates a community of dynamo ladies to inspire and empower each other to find their purpose and live a life they love! "
--Tori Ganahl, daughter of Heidi Ganahl

"I first met Heidi in fall of 2013. I was still reeling in grief following the murder of my six-year-old son, Dylan, at Sandy Hook Elementary school, and trying to figure out how I was going to create change in his name, while supporting my surviving son, Jake. Heidi's organization, Camp Bow Wow, gifted us a therapy dog they had chosen and trained for Jake. Named "Angel,'" she not only provided peace and love for Jake, but she also helped fill some of the gaping hole Dylan's loss had left in our family. But personally, Heidi gave me more than just a wonderful dog. We shared our experience of loss--her husband, my son--the loss of focus and direction that followed, and then the overwhelming drive to do something positive as a result. Hearing about Heidi's experiences turning heartbreak into action reinforced my belief that I too could deliver transformational change. We became friends and fellow warriors. What I learned from Heidi is still relevant to me today: you never know when your life will launch. Though neither Heidi nor I chose the events that reshaped our lives and purpose, the following planning process, business thinking, problem-solving, motivation, persistence, and determination are the same. It is these lessons that are both shareable and learnable. SheFactor provides just that."
