Description Privately printed poetry volume by George Bird, M.A. (Vicar of Holme-with-Langford, Notts.), titled A Sheaf of Verses. Printed for Private Circulation in 1929. This copy contains a contemporary handwritten presentation inscription from the author dated January 1st 1930: “With the Author’s kind wishes” Original grey cloth boards with gilt lettering to upper board. A scarce small-run publication likely produced for family, parish, or private distribution. Light age-related wear to boards and edges. Internally clean and well preserved. Binding sound. An attractive copy of an uncommon interwar private press poetry title.
