Sheet music. Encore Verse by E.P. Jewell. Folio. Single sheet bifolium with a single sheet insert making six pages. Separated at the fold and repaired externally with tape, soiling to the exterior, offsetting from another piece of sheet music to the unprinted back cover, and light edgewear, still a good and complete copy. For voice and piano. Plate impression "Listen to my tale of woe. 3." The lyrics are derived from Field's poem, "The Little Peach Tree" with a few additions. Late 19th century children's stories and poems can be surprisingly grim and this one is no exception. *OCLC* locates only five holdings of the first edition.
