Red leatherette over boards with green Smithsonian device on front cover and gilt line and torch decorations on front cover and spine; textblock untrimmed at fore and tail edges; watermarked laid paper. Bright, clean covers and spine; lightly dust spotted on text block top edge; tightly bound; crisp, clean interior - many leaves unopened at tail edge. Slipcase is green leather-grain paper over boards; clean, lightly scuffed. 8vo, 365 pp; biblio, index; many illustrations.
