Shells

""Shells"" is a collection of poems written by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, an American author and poet. The book contains a total of 36 poems, each one exploring a different aspect of life and human experience. The poems are written in a variety of styles, from free verse to sonnets, and cover a range of themes, including love, loss, nature, and spirituality.Throughout the book, Wilcox uses the metaphor of shells to explore the inner workings of the human psyche. She describes how we all have a shell that protects us from the outside world, but that this shell can also become a prison if we allow it to. Wilcox encourages her readers to break free from their shells and embrace life to the fullest. The poems in ""Shells"" are beautifully crafted and full of emotion. Wilcox's use of language is both elegant and accessible, making the book a pleasure to read. Whether you are a fan of poetry or simply looking for a thought-provoking read, ""Shells"" is sure to leave a lasting impression.By the waves of thought, these ""Shells"" were washed out upon the shores of imagination, and I gathered them in idle moments. If they shall give you a few hours enjoyment, it will add to the pleasure I experienced in making the collection. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
