The book also tells the story of how the Senior Tour, now called the Champions Tour, was born with Fred’s creation of the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Tournament.

About the Author

Fred Raphael was the director of Shell's Wonderful World of Golf series. Don Wade is a former senior editor at Golf Digest and the author of the nine golf-story collections. He has covered professional golf since the 1970s, writing for CBS Sports and NBC Sports and as a golf analyst for the USA Network. Martin Davis created Sports Marketing Group, the largest publisher of specialty golf magazines in the country. He is a past president of the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association, a member of the Golf Collectors Society, and a premier golf historian. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
