Shelly and Rhoda: A Most Extraordinary Spirit Encounter

Discover what lies beyond our world with Gary Truce’s haunting new book, Shelly and Rhoda.

With facts taken from his experience as a professor of parapsychology in the 1970s and 1980s, Truce introduces readers to a young family whose wondrous, otherworldly experiences set the stage for some shocking discoveries!

When furniture begins mysteriously moving and objects begin flying across the room, it appears as though eleven-year-old Shelly has begun exhibiting symptoms of psychokinetic powers.

Brought in to evaluate the case, Truce is shocked when the family reveals evidence that Shelly has been communicating with a spirit entity through the family’s computer.

Calling herself Rhoda, this mysterious force makes her presence known through a series of typed conversations. As Shelly’s questions become more personal, she reveals a secret about her mysterious friend: It appears that Rhoda may be Shelly’s twin sister…who died in the womb before they were born.

A different kind of ghost story, Shelly and Rhoda introduces the ideas of faith, love, and life after death in a way the whole family will enjoy.

As Shelly’s family comes to terms with their playful new companion, readers will experience the awe and hope of the afterlife right alongside them.
