Shift: 7 Mindsets for an Inspi

Step into midlife with more confidence, depth, and clarity.

When you focus on what aging adds to your life, rather than on what it takes away, you can take on your second half with renewed energy, focus, and intention. In Shift: 7 Mindsets for an Inspired Midlife, business-leader-turned-coach Peter Reek encourages you to embrace the potential that midlife offers—because the richness of midlife is something you can create with your own hands, heart, and mind. The second half can be the most expansive part of your journey—a time for renewal, for growth, for diving deep into the things that truly satisfy your soul.

Drawing from his experience coaching hundreds of professionals, as well as his own hard-won life lessons, Reek shares how to shape your path by redefining success and reconnecting with what matters most. He emboldens you to draw on your resilience, stay solution-focused, and keep moving forward with intention.

From this perspective, you can genuinely and fully inhabit midlife by embracing three commitments: to lead your whole self well, to tell yourself the truth, and to practice radical acceptance. Reek reveals how mindset, a key aspect of life you have some command over, puts you in control of how your reactions affect you and your future. He teaches seven essential mindset shifts to transform the way you move through the world:

Shift into Curiosity
Shift into Connection
Shift into Response-Ability
Shift into Alignment
Shift into Befriending Your Body
Shift into Stillness
Shift into Brave

An easy read full of useful tips, Peter Reek’s Shift calls you to live each day with grace and the kind of authenticity that lights up your soul. This isn’t about changing who you are. It is about embracing who you are becoming. It is about reflecting on what you’ve learned in the first half, then deciding what you want to carry forward and what you want to leave behind. It is about going all in and living midlife like you mean it.
