The "Oh Shit" Factor: Waste Management for Our Minds

Edgy, humorous, informative and life changing, this book challenges what we know about what we put into our minds and what comes out of our mouths. The word “sh*t” is used as a metaphor for the toxic thoughts we put into our heads. This can result, says Jampolsky, in constipation of the mind which can eventually cause verbal diarrhea! What we put into our minds can be more important than the food we put into our mouths. Cleaning out our minds can be just as important as cleaning our teeth. This book is about spiritual transformation in which forgiveness is stated to be the best treatment for “waste management” of our minds and relieving mind constipation.

Jerry Jampolsky, M.D., a graduate of Stanford University, is a child and adult psychiatrist. He is the founder of Attitudinal Healing International with independent centers and groups in dozens of countries on five continents. Dr. Jampolsky and his wife Diane Cirincione-Jampolsky, Ph.D., are recipients of numerous awards and have worked, taught and lectured in 58 countries. Dr. Jampolsky passionately believes that we can learn to let the innocent, joyful child within us come out and play each day. He is committed to doing his best to live in a consciousness of giving, and making forgiveness and love a way of life. By seeing the world differently, we can all learn to go through each day with miles of smiles.
