A very scarce work from Dare, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Fifteenth thousand. Very scarce work. Set on a Somerset farm in the time of floods, the farmer Andrew Somers meets Una who has recently travelled home from India. Written by Marjorie Huxtable, under the pseudonym of Simon Dare, a prolific romance novelist. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and chipping to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and the odd mark to the board. A 1" closed tear to the front board.
