Shock and Vibration in Linear Systems

""Shock and Vibration in Linear Systems"" by Paul Arthur Crafton is a comprehensive guide to understanding the effects of shock and vibration on linear systems. The book provides a detailed analysis of the principles of shock and vibration, including their sources, characteristics, and effects on linear systems. It covers the basic concepts of vibration analysis, including the frequency response, damping, and resonance of linear systems. The book also explores the various types of shock and vibration testing, including mechanical shock, drop testing, and vibration testing. It provides detailed descriptions of the testing procedures, equipment, and data analysis techniques used in each type of testing. The author also discusses the various types of shock and vibration isolation systems, including passive and active systems, and provides guidance on selecting the appropriate isolation system for a given application.Throughout the book, the author uses practical examples and case studies to illustrate the concepts and techniques discussed. The book is written in a clear and concise style, making it accessible to both students and professionals in the field of mechanical engineering. It is an essential reference for anyone involved in the design, testing, or operation of linear systems subject to shock and vibration. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
