Shondra Makes a Friend

"Ideal for ages 4-8, especially children just beginning school or early readers."

Five heartwarming tales of friendship, kindness and growth await young readers. Through the stories of a friendly shark, a kind mouse, a supportive pair of birds, a grateful penguin and a bear who learns the lesson of acceptance, the short stories in this charming and beautifully illustrated collection enable children (and their parents, teachers and caregivers!) to learn the power of friendship, kindness, confidence and gratitude. The stories were inspired by those the author, Joel Roffman, told his oldest granddaughter. They are beautifully illustrated by a creative genius, Maria Castañeda.
