, viii 325 [48] pages, with 40 black and white plates in total, index and 19 plates section at rear of the book Seventh Edition with considerable improvements , the book is rubbed at corners, and head and tail of spine, spine creased, both joints are cracked but boards held, boards are stained around leather, end papers are foxed, lightly spotted in places throughout, pages iii, iv, v and vi are loose at the foot of the binding, plate 1 has a tear to the outer margin, plates are very lightly foxed, textblock is clean, clear and tight in its binding, very good condition , half bound brown calf under marbled paper,gilt stamping and gilt lettering to spine , octavo, 16.5cm x 10.5cm Hardback ISBN.
