Study of the origins and use of heraldry in arms and armour, alphabetical list of terms. degrees of nobililty, etc. Original moderately edgeworn and rubbed leather boards. Rebacked in leather with gilt title and decoration. Binding firm. Contents largely clean and very good with occasional light foxing. All 38 copperplates present. Previous owner's contemporary gift inscription on front endpaper, and owner's signature on title page.
