An exceptional scarce survival of this Regency educational handbook, preserving practical arithmetic, commercial tables, and penmanship. In the publisher's original marbled paper wraps. Wraps fully detached, but present. Ninth edition, with additions. A compact instructional handbook, combining arithmetic, weights and measures, money tables, and commercial calculations with additional guidance on penmanship and the proper holding and cutting of quills. The work includes extensive practical tables relating to cntemporary British currency, cloth measure, hay and wool weights, apothecaries" measures, and fractions. In the publisher's original marbled paper wraps. Externally, worn. Wraps fully detached, but present.The odd ink mark to verso of front wrap. Rubbing to wraps with the odd minor mark. Slight rubbing to extremities resulting in slight creasing to extremities. Slight loss to spine. Internally, text block generally firmly bound. Pages typically age toned with the odd light spot, heavier to first and last few leaves. Ink annotation to margins of p.14, not obscuring the text. Good Only.
