First published in 1762, this work offers a recording of the ministerial life, travels, and spiritual experiences of the Quaker preacher Deborah Bell. The work recounts her journeys through England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland in the course of her ministry, describing her preaching, attendance at meetings of Friends, and reflections on religious experience and spiritual duty within the tradition of the Religious Society of Friends. The work also includes prefatory and testimonial material by family members concerning Bell"s life and ministry. With the bookplate of Thomas Richardson to the front pastedown. ESTC N22837 In a half calf binding, with paper covered boards. Minor loss of calf to back strip tail, with rubbing to back strip, joints and board perimeters. Front joint head starting, with board firmly held. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with instances of light spotting and handling marks. Very Good.
