A Short Memoir Of R--- F---: With Extracts From Her Memoranda, &C by Rachel Barnard Fowler. This privately circulated 1838 memoir collects recollections and memoranda detailing the life and spiritual development of Rachel F—, a Quaker woman whose piety, ministry, and family duties are traced from her Yorkshire childhood through marriage, maternal responsibilities, and travels as part of a religious witness. The work includes early accounts of her profound religious awakenings, private devotions, and eventual public testimony as a minister, as well as episodes from her missionary visits to Jersey, Sark, and Norfolk. It also documents the trials of widowhood after the death of her husband, and her final years of illness and steadfast faith, concluding with a testament to mercy and endurance grounded in her Christian belief.
