In good condition, with some rubbing and wear to exterior, along with bumping of corners. Title written on front board, along with SPCK logo imprinted into leather. Some loss to head and heel of spine. Light cracking to front hinge, along with light starting to rear. Text block remains bound well. Small assortment of pencil markings at front. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce later printing of a piece by Thomas Wilson (1663-1755), the Bishop of Sodor and Man from 1697 to 1755. The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK) is a British Christian charity and publisher. In operation since 1698, it is the oldest Anglican mission in the world, best known for its lengthy publication history, although it now also publishes works from an assortment of Christian denominations.
