About this title

Synopsis

Hundreds of ideas for what to see and do are included in 52 revised and updated, easy-to-follow itineraries that take you throughout Washington and Oregon and across the border into British Columbia-from Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula to Vancouver Island, the Cascade Mountains, and beyond. Tour the wine country, visit an Indian reservation, view the magnificent falls at Columbia River Gorge, or browse for antiques in a nineteenth-century town. Ski, fish, hike, whale watch, or just sit and enjoy a concert under the stars. And don't forget to stop for tea at Victoria's grand old Empress Hotel. You can do it all within approximately 250 miles of Seattle or Portland. Travel directions are provided for each itinerary, as are updated listings of special events, restaurants, and lodgings.
