About the Author

Mike took his first STM trip in 1983. Just barely into his teen years then, his continued participation in STM endeavors, throughout his teens, planted in him a keen awareness of the difference a young person could make. He also became aware of the difference that such experiences could make in him.

He participated in several other STM trips during his twenties and when on an STM hiatus as “daily life” kicked in following his marriage and during his kids’ toddler years. He and his family were never far from ministry in the local church however and, like Paul and Barnabas, it was as they served that God sent them out again, this time to France, where they have been since 2015.

Mike is a fierce believer in the positive effect that STM experience can have in the life of a young person. He should; he’s the product of STM.
