Shortcake Impulse Reborn

A shattered city rising from the ashes. The next stage of a secret genetic experiment. And a terrifying new threat evolving in the shadows.

It's been three years since the catastrophic events of The Falling of the Tides. Amanda and Evan have finally broken free from the chains of Helix Unbound and the genetic manipulations that forged their existence. They've suppressed their superhuman abilities in a desperate bid for a normal life.

But normalcy is an illusion when your DNA is designed for war...

Haunted by the devastation they left behind, Amanda and Evan are terrified of the darkness coursing through their blood. Worse, Project Impulse has a new weapon: an uncontrollable, chemically-induced nightmare that will stop at nothing to survive. And when it threatens to destroy everything they hold dear, Amanda and Evan must confront their sinister past to protect their future.

Now, with their fragile new world on the brink of annihilation, they face their greatest test yet. To stop a monster born from the same twisted science that created them, they must accept one of life's harshest truths: survival comes at a cost, and unleashing the very darkness they swore to bury forever might be theirs.
