Shoulder Injuries in Sports

This volume is a complete and practical guide to the evaluation and treatment of sports-related shoulder injuries and the rehabilitation of the upper extremity after these injuries. The book describes the ways in which the shoulder can be injured in each sport; reviews procedures for examining the shoulder; explains how to use diagnostic techniques such as MRI, arthroscopy, and electrodiagnostic studies; and presents surgical and nonsurgical treatment protocols for specific injuries of the sternoclavicular joint, clavicle, acromioclavicular joint, glenohumeral joint, and rotator cuff. Also included are chapters on vascular lesions and neurologic problems associated with shoulder injury.
