This book is a deeply honest memoir by James W. Fee, Jr., a biomedical research engineer who lived a highly accomplished and resourceful life while navigating the physical challenges of cerebral palsy. Through personal vignettes, Fee reflects on his childhood roots on Long Island, his 33-year marriage to his soulmate Jane, and his determination to overcome societal misconceptions regarding his disabilities. Ultimately, the text serves as an inspiring testament to his father's advice to "never, ever, be realistic," illustrating how he met every life challenge with unconventional problem-solving and profound resilience.
