Shunt Active Filter Control Strategies for Power Quality Improvement: using PI and Fuzzy Logic controllers

Instantaneous active and reactive power (p-q) and current (Id-Iq) Control strategies for extracting the three-phase reference currents for shunt active power filters are compared, evaluating their performance under different source voltage conditions with PI and Fuzzy logic Controllers in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and also implemented using RTDS Hardware. Suresh Mikkili was born in Gudipudi(Bapatla), A.P, India on 5th Jan 1985. He received B.Tech degree in E.E.E from S.I.T.E, JNTU Hyderabad in May 2006 and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from N.I.T Rourkela in May 2008. He worked as Asst Prof from 08 to 10.
