About this title

Synopsis:

The Shurangama Mantra is the longest mantra in the world. In Shurangama Syllables Save the World, Tripitaka Buddhist Master Hsuan Hua explains the origins of these sacred sounds and the benefits of reciting them. Included is the testimony of fifteen people who have personally witnessed miracles from daily recitation of the mantra as a spiritual practice.

About the Author:

The late Master Hua was born near Manchuria, China in 1918. He taught at Nan Hua Temple near Canton, China, the same monastery where the Sixth Patriarch Hui Neng taught in the 7th century. Fulfilling his goal of spreading the orthodox Dharma to the west, he has established 28 monasteries in Asia and north America, and had lectured orthodox sutras for 50 years before his passing.
