About this title

Product Description

This outstanding collection of Isle of Man racing photographs, mostly taken in recent years comes from the portfolio of Dave Collister. A feast of spectacular, scenic and historic shots capture action, not only from the epic TT racing on the Mountain Course, but from the Southern 100 races on the Southern 100 races on the Island's shorter public roads circuit. Manxman Collister combines his passion for motorcycle racing with a feel for the pure exhilaration of public road racing and Manxland's natural beauty. His stunning results come from knowledge of the terrain, a constant search for new angles and a rapport with competitors. Following on from the original Shutterspeed of 2010, Shutterspeed 2 comes up to date with the fastest bike action and the latest camera techniques. Motorcycling racing on the Isle of Man offers great opportunities to creative photographers. Racing immensely powerful machines on the world famous TT Mountain Course and the less well-known shorter Billown circuit, presents a breath-taking spectacle for today's sophisticated cameras to capture. Isle of Man based Dave Collister is a photographer who succeeds in making the most of the opportunities. His stunning racing images bear the mark of his creativity, original thinking and tenacious planning. This book second in the Shutterspeed series, contains a selection of Collister's work over recent years, complemented in many cases by inside information he gleamed from his subjects, the daring heroes of real road racing.
