Siege Engines

An Empire intent on flexing its power As an elite vessel plunges itself into the unknown And all of it, pinned on a rescue of frail hope None would ever questioned the fact that deep space travel is a dirty business. Interplanetary trade is the driver for conquering new worlds and is the reason the Empire intends to colonize the galactic arm. No one stood in their way until they began picking up a distress signal from one of their own. The Champollion was bathed in technology that was nothing short of state of the art. Its crew was handpicked to aid in the journey of exploration, and with Rutherford as their Captain, the Empire trusted them implicitly to expand their spatial bounds -- until they went too far. A space opera that weaves in and out of repressed worlds and the controlling tentacles of the Empire, of fear and the fearless, and of one women who must rise to the occasion and find a way to ‘put it on the strength’. The powerful have something to fear.
