This 1856 edition has numerous engravings, including maps of Nahant and Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Corners heavily bumped and worn. 1" X 1/2" piece of lower spine missing. Heavy wear to lower edges of boards. 1/2" cut to top of spine by hinge. Gilt stamped title faded but legible. Minimal foxing, most pages clean. Most pages tightly bound except the signature from pages 99-118 which are starting to come loose. Not ex-lib. 225 numbered pages plus 42 pages of interesting advertising by Boston area merchants just before the Civil War.
