Sigi the Brave Dachshund

There once was a Dachshund named Sigi, who worked on a farm with Herr Willi, protecting his fields, he worked for his meals, while being so long and quite silly . . .

Deep in the heart of the Back Forest, Sigi the Dachshund works hard to protect his family. But as the smallest animal on the farm, he is often teased and ridiculed. While he enjoys his patrols in the forest, using his low nose to chase away pests and intruders, he knows he will never be like the big, strong German Shepherds who work in the fields.

Then, one evening, a German Shepherd goes missing. And because he knows the Black Forest best of anyone, Sigi is sent to find her. With new friends guiding him forward, Sigi must put aside his feelings of self-doubt, discovering important lessons about accepting his weaknesses and learning to overcome them.

Enjoyable for readers of all ages, Sigi the Brave Dachshund is a heartwarming story about courage, self-determination, and the journey of finding one’s own unique strengths.

Bonus! Includes a glossary of German words and phrases, plus coloring pages to help bring Sigi’s world to life.
