In 1999, he signed Internet business agreements with Microsoft, encoding.com, Screaming Media, INXSYS, LMKI Communications, ION Systems, GEO Interactive, and others.
Mr. Kanakaris began writing published articles at an early age with a column called East European Spectrum for the world's largest stamp collecting newspaper, Linn's Stamp News. Later, he wrote about politics, music and home video. He was editor-in-chief of Video Swapper, Video Entertainment, The Video Critic, New Talent Streetscene and L.A.>POP. Mr. Kanakaris was involved in marketing for the world's largest costume jewelry company and a large electronics manufacturer. He became a stockbroker for Dean Witter as part of a personal training and experience program in preparation for becoming CEO of a public company.
