Silent Echoes is a poetry collection that begins with the author's emotional ride through high school relationship dynamics and continues on through his adult life. The subjects of the poetry as well as the styles and form of the writing progresses as the author's age and experience progresses. The early works are simple and superficial in form and meaning, but as he gets older, you will see a change in the complexity of his writing. Not only are the subjects more complex, but the writing also evolves. No matter how old a writer gets, the subject of his writing might change and the forms or depth of his writing might change, but one thing never changes and that is the need to bear his soul by placing a pen on paper.

Roger L. Snook, Jr. (1972- ) is a life-long lover of poetry and prose. His interest in poetry started gaining momentum in middle school and progressed rapidly from there. Early on, he learned that writing was a great way to deal with a full range of emotions and used poetry as an outlet to deal with life. Although he mostly writes for his own personal reflection, Roger's writing has been published in national western magazines on several occassions. His writing has also been used in fallen law enforcement ceremonies in Arkansas and Louisiana on the municipal and state levels. Roger has also started a children's micro-short story collection titled "The Might Adventures of Christopher Matthew", with the first volume being published in e-book form late in 2012. He now resides in Austin, Arkansas, with his wife of 12 years, Nancy, and three of their five children. Apart from his hobby as a writer, Roger serves in Central Arkansas as a full-time Law Enforcement Officer.
