The Silent Scream

Join me on a journey into the realm of Black women, where mental health remains a taboo subject. This book is an intimate look at my struggles with suicide attempts and thoughts, as well as an examination of the scarce research on suicide within the Black community. Black women are often expected to be perpetually strong and never to face a problem they cannot overcome. Yet, what goes unseen is the lifelessness behind their bright smiles, the resolve in their eyes, and the physical rigidity from stress and the burdens of life, frequently shouldered alone. Action is necessary. Join me in highlighting the critical need for improved mental health care within the Black community.

Delve into the intricate mental health issues among the Black community with "Clipped Wings: A Discussion on Mental Health in the Black Community." This paperback offers an in-depth look at the often-avoided conversations about mental health, with a particular emphasis on the experiences of Black women.
