About the Author

Sally creates hats for weddings, the races and special events, and often uses silk flowers as a way of matching the colours in a client's outfit to their hat or headpiece. Many of her hats have won awards at Racing ladies days for being the best hat or complimenting the outfit for the best-dressed lady. She launches a summer and winter collection each year as she develops new techniques and styles for brides and racing ladies. Silk flower making started for Sally with a love of textiles, a passion for sculpture and an MA course, after which she set up Sharper Millinery. Coming from a creative background, she was always encouraged to try new techniques and to follow her dreams by very supportive parents.
