Silvareth: Shackled Light: Rayios The Pure

Some chains are forged to protect. Others are made to kill you slowly.

Rayios is a weapon of light in a broken world. For eighteen years, he has hidden the golden shackle on his wrist-a divine seal that keeps his power from consuming him, even as it eats away his senses one by one.

When his mentor is murdered and the creation fragments are stolen, Rayios is forced to flee the only home he's ever known. Hunted by the corrupt Obsidian Hand and racing against a ticking clock, he finds sanctuary in the most unlikely place: a squad of broken outcasts who don't care about his destiny-only his survival.

THE HEALER who records every memory before she loses them to the magic. THE HUNTER who fights with a blade in her hand and a ghost at her back. THE TACTICIAN who jokes to hide the fact that he's terrified of the math. AND MOROENIX, the golden falcon who is more than a beast-he is the other half of Rayios's soul.

To save them, Rayios must do the unthinkable: break the shackle that contains his power. But unleashing the light won't just destroy his enemies. It will erase the boy who wields it.

Perfect for fans of Fourth Wing and Avatar: The Last Airbender. This slow-burn epic fantasy features a found family you'll wish you could join and a hero who proves that kindness is the deadliest magic of all.
